Spotify launched a series of films that show People from around the world singing a specific track from Amr Diab’s, Egypt’s top superstar’s, album. Spotify needed to use their main edge of having global exposure to stand out amidst other music platforms that were launching the same album & were more established in the Egyptian market. while the others brought Egyptian music to Egyptians, Spotify brought Egypt to the World.

Egyptians take pride in their artists especially when they make it big internationally. Amr Diab is one of the artists most Egyptians boast about for his legacy. Hammering on this insight was for the brand differentiation.

The pieces were intended to seem as real as possible through casting and location even though they were all shot in Beirut. The edge of the film is in the way the music seemed to be an element added to the ad as background music when actually it is hummed by our main protagonist acting in the film.
