Brief Explanation

The film portrays a contemporary-ballet dancer who dominates Cairo’s Downtown streets with her powerful moves and threatening looks. The ballerina is reactive to all of the surrounding urban contexts which are the motive for her energy and expression, however, all of those urban factors are absent from the film, glorifying her existence, and empowering her energy.

Execution

A contemporary-ballet dancer, dancing her way through Cairo’s Downtown. Shot in Black and White, removing all un-necessary elements and additions, with slight sounds of the city’s urban soundscape, you see the dancer not only reacting to all the surrounding factors, but challenging it as well, proving it with one final threatening look of how powerful she is, even if she knows how tiny she is compared to the huge city.
