Brief Explanation
Part of a series of extreme short films that tells a story in 5 seconds, ‘The Return’ is about a son leaving home to see the world. His mother is in tears as she closes the door behind her. As she opens the door again, her son is back and is suddenly much older with a beard. The mother who has also aged embraces him happily, with tears of joy. The film ends with the message: “Short Films Wanted. But Not That Short.” – encouraging aspiring filmmakers to submit their films to the Samsung Short Film Contest.
