Brief Explanation
This is the film of a death-defying stunt performed by our latest high-performance vehicle at the iconic SkyDive Dubai Runway. Our engineers claimed that the car could go from 0 to 100 Miles Per Hour and back to 0 in 313 meters. So we put this claim to the test, measured exactly 313m back from the edge, aimed the car at the water and stepped on the gas. This is the story of what happened. And yes, this is real.
Results
A stunt like this comes with significant safety risks. Driving any car at 100MPH (160 KPH) is never completely safe but adding in the fact that the car needed to slam on the brakes at that speed and come to a complete stop on a runway in the middle of the ocean, makes this stunt nearly insane. To film this cinematic masterpiece the production team had to hire a world class stunt driver, Martin Ivanov (He is actually the Stig from the Russian Top Gear) and had to film everything almost exclusively using quadrocopters and high speed rover drones to ensure no people appeared on the runway during each take. The final shot of the car reaching the edge had everyone very nervous and had to be filmed by hanging out over the open sea.
