Brief Explanation

To reinforce Nissan Patrol's positioning as the hero of all terrain, we tell the story of an epic battle taking place in the GCC region. The battle of Desert vs City, narrated from the point of view of the Nissan Patrol, the hero of all terrains, always in control no matter the outcome.

Results

Shooting in the hottest summer month in Dubai proved problematic with partly malfunctioning drones, and the sand became so loose that it was hard to correctly choreograph cars with a heavy “Russian-Arm”. Finding a suitable stylist with global experience on features and a pulse on Arab culture was challenging. Fortunately we found a great collaborator who created special costumes with a contemporary Arabian theme, without being cliché. Suitable acting talent was another hurdle we overcame by flying them in from London, matching their looks to the environment. A big part of the film was timed around sunset, making us split into main and second unit to cover all of the needed plates and shots. We pushed to take this project to the upper limits finding ways around difficult situations from unfriendly terrain, extreme temperatures and some of the most complex storm and building breaches created in CGI seen on screen.
