The Campaign

Our campaign is a series of humorous TVCs where huge 80’s stars desperately want to join youth collective bands that are a current youth stars. Their attempt to join this band is due to their desire to be seen as ‘young’ again. The stars would show up to the collective at various stages of making a song (at an audition, song writing stage, or a rehearsal) and try to convince them how they should be part of the song. They would even sing their own hit songs to them, in final attempts at convincing them that they belong. But the collective band would always politely turn them down.

Creative Execution

Hameed : what are you guys writing ? mo : Oh !! Mr. Hameed !! we’re trying to write a simple song , come join us ! No please, please join us Bob ( suggesting lyrics from the IN song ) : friendship is the relationship .. Hameed ( singing one of his hits ) : Jal-Jely Jal-Jala Ahmed : How about ‘ We are thunder and lightning in a dark night ‘ Hameed : What thunder and what lightning guys ?! it’s simpler than that “ Halal aleek ! halal Aleek, la la la ‘ Ram : sir ! sorry but it just doesn’t fit our song.. T rapping ‘ Listen up yo , meet me at the corner yo ‘ Hameed : Habeeba, oh Habeeba, I miss your soft hair.. Your sweet.. perfect….smile….. hameed : You guys suck sam : ‘Say something buddy ?? ‘ hameed : Nothing. Ciao ! VO: “When we said it won’t be the same without you, we were referring to the youth, Dial 2020 and stay IN with music, minutes and endless internet megabytes” IN. Youth only.
