The Campaign

To champion the efforts that Middle Eastern teens are making in positively impacting millions of lives around them, while changing their image in the region and across the world, and to inspire many more Arab youth to join the program, the Coca-Cola Foundation launched a film that shares the stories of them making a difference. The film features two leading youth influencers from the Middle East – Alaa Wardi (who was the creator of the famous 'No Woman No Drive' YouTube hit) and Yazeed Zaidan. The film is narrated in the style of spoken word Arabic poetry set against a specially-composed contemporary soundtrack, that is trendy and appealing to Arab youth. The spoken word Arabic poetry used by the influencers is very rich, emotionally compelling and distinctive - hence, connecting with the youth and striking the right chords; positively provoke viewers as well as inspiring them to join the platform by Coca-Cola.

Creative Execution

Who are we? They say we are the generation of selfishness. A generation of no self-control, no self-restraint nor selflessness. They say we are the generation of ME MY selfie MY news MY life MY views But that’s not the truth. When WE play, WE get the highest virtual score. But WE also get real and achieve much more. Our movies, our songs and the shows that influenced us… no longer influence our reality. Today, WE are the influence, changing our society. Today, WE are one, one team with one existence. And even if it seems small WE will make a difference… Today, WE are not the generation of ME. WE are the generation of empathy, the generation of humanity. WE do live selfless even though we love selfies. With every post, like and share, WE are helping to get the word out there so WE can get everyone to care. WE are the superheroes for the next generation With no capes and no spandex, our power is compassion. WE do what we know, even if it isn’t a lot. If it could help save a life, it’s worth a shot. Our history, tells a story of all that WE have achieved; the awesome chapters WE wrote while helping those in need. WE have made headlines, that’ll last for years. Our stories of change have been exchanged between strangers. WE started this wave of change, with one ripple So nothing we do, can ever be little. Join us today and let’s ride new waves together.
