The Campaign
The film is interview-driven complimented by candid footage during regular school activities and events. The objective is to produce a timeless video that portrays a natural, genuine image that delivers enough information while maintaining a light aesthetically pleasing visual suitable for use at any event. Essentially the purpose is a call to action for the school to gain governmental, corporate and individual support as it is a charity organization for people with disabilities.
Al Noor Sponsorship Film introduces the various elements that make up the school. Focusing primarily on the enjoyable and emotional element, are consecutive short interviews with some of the students, their dreams, and opinions about the school. The students are displayed against a clean white back drop keeping them in focus. Among the interviews with the students are appearances of head management, staff, teachers and parents who deliver the informational aspects on funding, facilities, services and programs at Al Noor.
Creative Execution
Production design is an important element to this film since the focus of the shoot, being children with disabilities, is a very sensitive subject both in subject portrayal and collaboration during production. The design used is simple, clean, and most importantly comfortable and familiar to the students. This familiarity provides ease during the actual production, allowing the students to behave in their most natural and unreserved state. However since the execution from the students is unpredictable and unscripted, there has had to be a consistent element during the complete duration of the film, which in this case is the clean and harmonious design of the set. That consistency allows the film to flow smoothly, and provides comfort during the production to allow the students to express their feelings and thoughts with no interruption or expectation. Thus, it enables a genuine relationship and portrayal of these extraordinary students. The end result is a beautiful blank canvas that represents a world full of possibilities for these children and lets their bright colorful personalities shine through. It also allows for creative use of 2D graphics as an added element of fun during the post-production of the film.
