Brief Explanation
Bank Audi is a universal bank with a full and diversified range of products and services catered to Commercial, Corporate, Retail and Private clients. Bank Audi believes that the Electronic Banking and Cards Services will reinforce its position in the Lebanese and regional market, not only as one of the leading banks in Lebanon, but also as one of the most innovative ones in electronic banking and credit cards. The Electronic Banking and Cards System unit was the first in the region to launch the customized prepaid gift cards collection.
The Brief
The Electronic Banking and Cards Services unit at Bank Audi have launched 6 different card categories, all ranging under the "Enjoy Bank Audi Card Collection", and all addressing different population segments, each one meeting various consumer needs. The main target of the bank is to keep maintaining its leadership in the market. This was achieved by the introduction of innovative products and services tailored to meet the needs of the customers. We were asked to promote these cards outside of the bank in an engaging way in order to go around the hassle people face in a traditional bank system.
How the final design was conceived
We proposed a retail kiosk in the form of a vending machine where users had 2 possibilities:
1/ instantly buy a packaged prepaid card
2/ design your own pre-paid card and print it on the spot.
This solution involved the creation of a customized design and produced kiosk with tailor made dispensing mechanisms and payment modules. Additionally, integration with instant card printing was put in place for users to generate their own designs instantly.
The first product was rolled out at the smart branch in Beirut down town. The vending machine gives customers the possibility to select the requested card type, category and amount, and get their card right away. It also includes the "Card Artist" feature which gives them the possibility of designing their own prepaid card and issue it on the spot.
This retail innovation is one of the first to combine both technologies in a sleek design of a kiosk.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The hike in total transactions reached over 100 transactions / month from the deployment.
The vending machine is a retail solution for the prepaid cards which puts Bank Audi at the forefront of innovation in the Banking sector in the region in terms of electronic banking and credit cards. This retail product illustrates the Bank's constant thrive in raising the standards of performance to meet and exceed expectations, one of the Bank's main values in innovation.
The end user gets (the customer) gets to access the vending machine 24/7, without the hassle of going through the bank. Also, they get the opportunity of designing and personalizing the product, a service not available in most of the banks. The different card categories can also be used by non-customers of Bank Audi, which provides a reach literally anyone.
The vending machine will soon be installed in malls and universities in order to spread awareness and give people the chance to design more creative cards, and to get to know the prepaid cards service.
