Brief Explanation
Iraq, a country in turmoil, war and disarray is also the home of 36 million people who feel that it is time for the country to catch up.
Zain Iraq, the leading telco provider in the country launched the 3rd generation mobile services to herald Iraq into the new millennium. The client’s brief was “Faster Internet connection, whenever and wherever”.
Our launch campaign needed to embody a vision every Iraqi citizen aspires to.
The launch began with a teaser countdown followed by the reveal TVC which begins with an opening shot of a wide vista in the northern part of the country where a cloud formed of different and colorful icons are seen speeding in the sky. These icons are now seen in different parts of the country, tumbling and racing across the sky, adding vivid colors to a bleak existence.
We see different segments of the Iraqi society looking at icons/objects with looks of joy and surprise on their faces, after which we see different people choosing different icons that suit their needs from the overhead cloud. The TVC ends with the tagline “3.9 G from Zain… Faster than fast” to emphasize the speed aspect of the service.
