Creative Execution

The Instant Test Drives were sent to over 3,000 people via SMS. Each SMS immediately turned into 3D sound experiences fully immersing users into three unique test drives – a jungle adventure, a city drive or an adrenaline filled race. The dedicated mobile site also allowed users to instantly book a real test drive, share on social media and call their nearest dealer.

SMS click through rates reached 43%. Including radio, SMS and social media we have so far generated a 12% increase in actual test drives across showrooms in the region.

Volkswagen wanted to increase test drives and get more people behind the wheel of their cars. In true Volkswagen spirit, we thought small and did things a little differently. We launched The Instant Test Drive. The first audio test drive you could take anywhere, anytime. We created fun and completely unique experiences that captured the audience’s attention, driving them to sign up to a real test drive in an easy and effortless way, instantly.
