Creative Execution

The Shop and Ship Dreamland film is A Fantastic Shopping Journey Around The World. We showed a dream world where shopping is fantastically alive… through a mix of 2D and 3D elements. The characters (Shopper Girl & Biker Man) movements were enacted by live actors, captured on video, and used as a rough guide to time the actions and posture for the 3D models. Modeling and animation was done with MAYA. Zbrush was used to paint facial details. Simulation of characters’ clothing and the dress-draped balloon was processed in Softimage and exported back to MAYA. Mental Ray was used to render high res images. Digital Fusion and Smoke were used to composite and grade the final film. The result was a film that showed the wonderful joy of online shopping is matched by the joy of receiving the shopping at home. Which is Shop and Ship’s pay off: Buy it over there. Get it over here.
