The Campaign

Fikra is the first Algerian conference to share and promote ideas of the future. Fikra brings together high-level speakers from various fields: policy makers, entrepreneurs, opinion leaders, researchers, investors and journalists. Each shares one’s own passion and vision for the future through his/her expertise and experiences. The conference aims to reach Algerians around the globe and deliver a MSG that our future depends on our ability to extract ourselves from the conventional framework to change perspective and imagine all the new ways that create value. and to deliver our MSG to the community we targeted the most popular media in the country and international media such as France 24 and decideurs tv.

The Brief

We wanted to send a MSG that we belong to this community and to this country and we are committed to help Algerian people to build a better future. we all share the same passion for the future that is why together we can construct a brighter future. In this conference the opinion leaders, journalists, students, and all participants meant to interact and learn from productive thinking to create value and progress.

Results

The conference started at 9 am 12/12/2012. Everyone began sharing his/her experience during the conference they tweet #fikra, comment, share videos, ideas, articles, like Fikra Facebook page and videos on Youtube ……etc International and National media coverage France 24, decideurs tv, Alalam TV. National TV Echorouk, Ennahar TV, El-Djazairia, ENTV (National TV), A3 More than 30 top stories in all national newspapers, and magazines, online forums, and websites. 580 participants, 800 online subscribers, 10 awarded start-ups (10 000$), 18 outstanding orators.

Execution

Fikra Idea for the future, we made sure to communicate with the participants and the public in appropriate way to reach the audience at maximum and achieve our goals of this conference. We made media plan to communicate before and after the conference informing the public about our upcoming meeting/conference. We sent press statement to the national press a day before and just before the end of the conference informing them and updating them with news, ideas, speakers……etc Everyone coming to the conference received a welcome back notebook, the conference programme, and a pen as well as a badge the name and the position of the participant written on it. Special space to TV channel provided with fikra stand and the sponsor logo. A special badge to the media (TV and Press).

The Situation

The world is changing so fast around us, especially the Arab world, and we are aware of the need to make the changes depending on our source of energy which is the future. The future is our cause of energy and our strength; therefore, we organized fikra conference and we brought up participants from various fields, countries and different age categories.

The Strategy

Fikra became a part of the 10th anniversary integrated campaign, now djezzy is welcoming the future and it takes the initiative to spot and connect promising ideas. Fikra was the first networking conference ever done in Algeria.
