Brief Explanation
Nokia wanted to attract the best tech graduates. The insight was though these students were young, youth culture was not the right way to appeal to them.
We had an app-developing competition to test the best programmers. To recruit them, we used a language that only they understood. Computer code.
A poster in 7 Universities informed students, who could understand it, to type in the code. This led to a Facebook entry page.
The expected target was 100 applications. We had over 500 applicants in the first week alone, after news spread to colleges we hadn’t even targeted.
