Brief Explanation
The concept was simple. After years of talking and little action, we wanted to jolt the world leaders, industry and renewable energy experts attending the World Future Energy Summit, out of any feelings of complacency. We placed the blame for the destruction of the environment and the over use of the planet’s resources firmly with the current generation.
The narrative when read in one direction gave a very negative assessment of the world we live in. Once reversed the same words became positive and uplifting demonstrating to the audience that with concrete action and commitments at the summit it was still not too late to deliver a better future and legacy to the next generation.
Simple motion graphics added graphic impact without detracting from the message and a child’s voice was used to firstly lay the blame on the current generation and then in reverse add to the feeling of optimism about the future that could be created if appropriate action is taken.
The call to action “The Time is Now” stressed the urgency and importance of the discussions and decisions taking place during the summit and became the overarching theme of the whole conference.
