Brief Explanation
Consider cultural issues; death and chronic illness can be a sensitive subject.
Highlight the health risks associated with consuming all forms of tobacco, including cigarettes and the hookah pipe.
Raise awareness and attendance of the event.
The Brief
Qatari Diar, wanting to raise awareness amongst employees of tobacco-related illness, organised an Anti Tobacco Day. The client asked for a campaign that would inform smokers of the health issues surrounding tobacco and achieve high attendance for the event.
How the final design was conceived
Due to the sensitive nature of the audience, a typographic route was chosen over photography. The idea itself has the same thought process as a person addicted to cigarettes, it appears appealing at first but upon closer inspection its the small details that are killer, in this case, the hard-hitting information rolled up inside the flyer.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The campaign generated much interest amongst smokers and this resulted in high attendance numbers at the event.
