Brief Explanation

An Indian thali is a large plate, filled with small bowls of different types of food. 800-THALI (80084254) is a restaurant with a toll free number as it’s name. It’s an only delivery outlet. Our logo needed to convey our toll-free number, and our offering in an easy and memorable way.

The Brief

To create a unique identity and tone of voice for the outlet that will generate easy recall value and interest since it is a only delivery food outlet.

How the final design was conceived

We took the look of the Thali (An Indian thali is a large plate, filled with small bowls of different types of food) and merged it with the dial of the rotary phone because the outlet was named after a toll-free number and the business was only delivery and no dine in.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

The restaurant has got extremely high recall value and the people have discussed the packaging and logo on various fourms like twitter, facebook and food websites.
