Brief Explanation
A known and respected brand.
The founder, who designed the original logo himself, is still very much in charge.
The identity has served him well. It is the foundation of his fortune and reputation.

“We want it to be completely new and different but we want it to be the same”
How often have we all heard that?
How the final design was conceived
Interrogate. Interrogate. Then interrogate some more.
What really matters here?
Well, it was the “M”. So we gave that a bit of a makeover.
Then we wanted to add a bit of symbolism. A book. The core of this business is the word. Words belong in books. OK, so we all live in this digital world, but really books are more beautiful and meaningful than screens. Sorry, Steve Jobs and Samsung, but it’s true.

How do you measure success?
Well, the man who owns the company, who started it and still runs it (and who designed the original logo!), loves what we’ve done.
When you’ve redesigned someone’s life’s work and they, genuinely and sincerely, think you’ve improved it…
we must have got something right.
