Brief Explanation
One of the main challenges and objectives was to express the spirit of Sport360 - which includes reportage, analysis and opinion.
The Brief
Create stationery that is international in appeal. It should embody sport, however not be frivolous. Also, it should cover a range of sport, because different people follow different sports.
How the final design was conceived
Reportage is looking at what happened. Analysis is breaking down what happened. And opinion, well, it's whether what happened was right or wrong (hopefully from an expert's point of view). Key moments in every sport are actually sequence of events. The great goal, the hole-in-one, the leg-cutter. And if we examine these sequences, we come to much better conclusions. Graphically it spoke the language of Sport360: understand what went into the moment. Our task was simplified once we understood this. The graphic element that went across the stationery were the sport sequences.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
For the client, the biggest joy was getting stationery that spoke their language. Over and above which their personalised business cards spoke for them. We have been told by the client that their business cards have always evoked a very positive reaction, almost on every occasion.
