Brief Explanation

Next season MBC 2 offers a new collection of scary shows, moving away from family entertainment. To announce this transition, the brand needed a soft launch to existing customers. We wanted to share the scare online. This banner charades as an ad from a fake company. It entices viewers to try a plugin for determining their face symmetry. Viewers enable their webcam and see more than they expected! Seeded via personal e-mails by a local audience, Facebook and Twitter, the hoax grew organically at an exponential rate. What’s more, over 2,000 viewers sent the viral content to friends in the first week – proof that most of us like to shock our mates once in awhile!
