The Brief
This year the Beirut Marathon Association is dedicating its 2008 marathon to the fight against cancer. They needed communication that encouraged people to join the marathon.
Creative Execution
Tagged with “with their strength, we run” because enduring 3 hours in a marathon is nothing like enduring months or even years against cancer. It is their strength that will drive the runners to succeed and ultimately fight the battle against cancer.
Describe the creative solution to the brief/objective.
An installation entitled “grab a pair and join us on November 30th” was put in all major malls across Lebanon. The installation consisted of actual training shoes of cancer patients. People were invited to take a pair and run in their shoes on marathon day.
Results
The installation was out of shoes in 2 hours.
