Brief Explanation
Basketball in Beirut is as huge as football in Brazil. There are hundreds of street courts hosting games around the city every day. But there's a problem: power cuts. For an average of 3 hours every day. Sometimes, it even goes up to 6 hours. No lights = no games.
So 7UP created the first eco-basketball court powered by solar energy. When there's a blackout, the court lights up and the game never stops. To amplify the impact, we captured the game and people's reactions on camera and shared the film on social media.
This attracted over 11MM total views* - making over 5 million PR and media impressions worth more than USD270,000**
As a result there was a 73% increase in brand engagement, therefore enhancing consumer relationship with the brand***
